Sonic Beating presents its FINAL installment of Psyforia at our legendary outdoors venue for the summer season! Come early, stay late and DON’T miss our special headliners flown from London for the day AND night! For our September event, we will be opening at 2PM for BBQ and Mixes! Bring food to grill and share! We will not be selling food or offering any free food so plan ahead The grill will be in operation until sunset. The official lineup will start at 2PM, going to 1:30AM. We apologize for ending early but it’s the way it must be. Please take the time to clean up after yourselves and leave no trace! Directions/Parking info will be sent out to people who click yes on “Attending” or “Maybe”. The info will be in a Facebook message which will be sent a few days before the party. Capacity is 300 people so come early! NO ENTRY WITHOUT VALID ID (License, legal ID card, or Passport)!

:: FLIP FLOP / HEMI-SYNC (Nano Records, London UK) :: Fullon Psy

With influences from many different genres of music and a tendency to think outside the box, Flip Flop’s music stands out at home as well as on massive sound-systems. Huge slabs of groove and tripped out sonic sound-scapes are interlaced with a melodic structure subtly easing its way out of the arrangement.

In 2008 they released their debut album “Floppy Drive” to critical acclaim and continued to tour extensively bringing their unique sound to the hungry dance floors of the world. December 2010 saw the release of their new EP: The Burn, which gave a little glimpse to what they’ve been up to recently. Keep your eyes and ears peeled in 2011 for remixes of Allaby and The Commercial Hippies as well as a new album coming soon.

:: JOHN MONKMAN *LIVE* (UltraDelux Records, London UK) :: Techno/Techhouse

With over 10 years experience in the music industry & a large discography under his belt John has been busily working on his new solo project that looks set to explode in 2009 and beyond. His productions form a kicking techno/house hybrid that are infused with stabs blissful electronica and warm poignant grooves. Having recently had his music used in a Dolce & Gabanna television commercial – produced by Mario Testino, along with completing remix work for the synth-pop band Eskimo Disco and Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) his deep, cinematic sound is reaching out to all corners of the music industry. In 2008 he released the long awaited album ‘Floppy Drive’ under the moniker Flip-Flop (a joint project with producer and life-long friend Chris Hanson) to huge critical acclaim, whilst also seeing success with his other side-project PinkNoize (with Henry Seligman) on the UK-based imprint Fear of Flying Records. These days John can be found working on new solo material for use in his innovative live show. His first release on Furthur Project Recordings (‘Phono Spirit’) sees him remixed by Lee Jones: Away from the studio John has played gigs played from London to Brasil, with festival dates including the UK’s prime electronic dance festival – The Glade and other events inlcuding, Glastonbury & Universo Parallelo (Bahia) and Kaballah (Rio).

::FRACTAL PHONO (Zenon Records AU / Gaian Mind USA)::

Fractal Phono is best known for his “quirky and murky” psychedelic progressive trance DJ sets, as well as occasionally playing tripped out minimal techno. As resident DJ for Gaian Mind in Philadelphia, USA, Rory has evangelically spread the Zenon sound across the land. Super squishy, yet articulate bass lines, and deep-dark, psychedelic grooves have always been the main ingredients in F.P.‘s performances regardless of genre.

EMPTY reusable water bottles such as Sigg and sports water bottles are allowed. We will be providing some water on site and bottled water will also be sold.
*NO ENTRY under 18 years of age (21+ to drink) without Mass State Licence or valid passport. NO permits, temp licenses, school IDs, etc.
*No open fires allowed and no swimming in the river.
*There are a few mosquitos near the river, bring bug spray
*Sonic Beating does not condone illegal activities, so please behave yourselves. We all have the wonderful privilege to be back at the MP, so don’t blow it!

General infos:

+ 10 USD entry CASH ONLY. The bar/drinks are CASH ONLY as well. SB will have a BBQ grill available and will have the grill open from 5-8pm :) Please bring foods to grill. We will have grilling tools on site!

+ Our venue has a capacity of 300. Be aware of this! Come early and don’t be disappointed if we’re full by 11pm or earlier.

+ We will search bags. No liquids or glass except new sealed juices and bottles of water. Empty water bottles are OK.

+ NO PETS ALLOWED

+ Event is not gauged for kids though you can bring them. We ask that all families take their children home by sundown. General entry is 18+. IDs 21+ checked at bar for adult beverages.
